Early Summer, 2020, South Bermondsey, London. The venue doors at our brewery have been closed for 3 months, but the shutter doors have been firmly open. Our team, like everyone else, are managing individual circumstances as best possible and forged through, thanks to the support of our community and of each other. The beer is still flowing and this hop-forward Hazy IPA represents all that we love in brewing.

Lantern Earl Grey Session IPA 440ml 3.7% ABV 

Ingredients: Water, Barley, Oats, Earl Grey Tea, Hops, Yeast

Our sour take on cold press in a can. Lightly roasted malts provide a clean base upon which we’ve added fruity US hops, with some light dry hopping. The addition of Coffee in fermentation and dry hop gives Cosmic Café’ a balanced, roasted bitterness. We kettle soured the wort to add some zing and the result is a smooth, lightly tart sour with a fresh coffee backbone.

We were determined to create a beer that could bridge the decision between white, rosé or beer on those warm summer evenings. Midsummer offers a light to medium body with a soft malt base and light hop profile. The addition of Pinot Noir grapes from Noita Winery in Finland means there’s plenty of fruit, with blackcurrant and strawberry delivering a jammy sweetness to balance the refreshing salt profile.

Creamy and refreshingly tart, Carnival is a celebration of tropical flavours. Five unique malts add body, with oats providing a creamy mouthfeel. The coconut provides a slight sweetness, with 48 hours of kettle souring and 3kg of lime zest delivering a fresh, tangy finish.

Waves of tropical fruits and citrus set the tone for a hop-forward Double IPA with an island paradise slant. Oats bring a creamy softness, which are layered with natural flavours of orange, almond and lime, and just a little brown sugar to truly reflect the tiki bar classic, the Mai Tai. Pace yourself and savour, you’re on island time now.

Lantern focuses on the fusion between full, oriental Earl Grey tea with the vibrant hop profile delivered by four unique American hop varieties. The base is a super juicy, tropical session beer, we then infused the beer with fresh orange and lemon zest, finally, we added the tea for a hint of bergamot and full-bodied black tea.

Rich, indulgent and creamy, just like the cocktail it’s based on, Jazz Age offers a bold malt profile, full body and plenty of chocolate and coffee. The creaminess comes from six different malts, the joy comes from imagining yourself in a speakeasy in New Orleans with every sip. Settle in, sling on some tunes and enjoy immediately. Our friends Little Creatures use whole hop flowers in our Pale Ale, which gives it a pretty serious citrus and stone fruit flavour, balanced with specialty malts and a decent hit of bitterness.

It’s the extra love and care that we lavish upon our pedigree potatoes that allows them to stand out from the crowd. We believe a pampered potato is a happy potato, so every spud has a relaxing rubdown before being diligently dunked in soothing sunflower oil, with its jacket left on. It’s now the turn of our expert fryers to handcook our plucky potatoes to crunchy perfection. Lastly our special feisty seasonings are massaged in to complete these deliciously tasty crisps.
